Stands for medical devices
Since 2000, we produce not only joint stands for holding techniques, but also medical devices. These joint stands are made from stainless steel. The medium used inside is extremely heat resistant, allowing for sterilisation. In minimally invasive keyhole surgeries the stands help to keep the surgeons hands free. Joint stands for medical devices are also available with pedal switches for clamping and loosening, providing the potential to position the devices with only one hand. Special holders for probes, tubes, endoscopes and an ultrasonic head are disposable.An exceptional position within the stands of Hoerger & Gaessler OHG is owned by the spherical ultrasonic holding device that was developed together with Siemens Healthcare AG in 2001. It is sold by Siemens with their Modularis urodiagnostic system. The holding device is attached to lithotripters that are used for breaking nephroliths and urinary stones. The spheric ultrasonic device holds the ultrasonic head that shows the attending doctor the status of the stone on the display. The development cooperation with Siemens has lasted until today and meanwhile there are several versions of the spherical ultrasonic holding device available.
